Nik Day LDS Fireside
Are you looking for an LDS fireside for your stake or region? My wife, Darla, and I love doing firesides! I have been doing firesides for more than a decade. When I got married, Darla and I started doing them together. We did about 13 LDS firesides in 2021 together, and it has been a wonderful experience to meet so many of you and hear your stories and share our stories and songs. Darla has such a way with words and her stories are insightful and very inspirational. She also has an amazing voice, and sings with me. We perform theme songs from past years like “I Will Go and Do,” “Peace in Christ,” and “A Great Work,” as well as other songs from the youth albums. In all of our firesides, I talk about my journey that led me to my job with the Church, and following the Spirit. I have had so many experiences where I have felt the hand of the Lord in my life, and he has guided me to where I am today, which I am very grateful for. It is because of my job with the Church that I met Darla, too, which has been a huge blessing in my life. Darla talks about how she always felt like the black sheep of the family, and ended up moving to Texas and joining a generational Mexican circus. She went on to perform in Cirque du Soleil and had other amazing opportunities, but she struggled with addiction. She talks about her conversion journey and overcoming her addictions and about the importance of staying close to Christ.
LDS Youth Firesides
We tend to do a lot of LDS youth firesides, since the music I write is for the youth, but we have also done missionary firesides and YSA firesides. We love doing all of them. We change our messaging depending on our audience and the messages the leaders are focusing on, so if you have anything specific you would like us to talk about, or any specific songs you would like us to perform, we will gladly do it. We just love getting out and meeting members and sharing our testimonies!
